Web design for plumbers
A plumbing website built for the moment something bursts.
Plumbing is two businesses wearing one pair of boots. Half the work arrives in a panic, half is planned weeks ahead, and the two types of customer behave nothing like each other. A website that treats them the same converts neither well.
How your customers actually search
Get this wrong and the rest of the site is decoration. These are the patterns that shape what we build.
Emergency work is decided in under a minute
When a pipe goes, nobody browses. They search on a phone, they ring the first result that looks legitimate, and if you do not answer they ring the next one. For that visitor the only things that matter are a number they can tap without pinching to zoom, a clear statement that you do callouts, and enough proof that you are real. Everything else is in the way.
Planned work is compared for weeks
A bathroom installation or a full repipe is a different customer entirely. They will look at three or four plumbers, read reviews properly, and want to see finished work before they call. That visitor needs depth: photographs, a sense of how you work, and an answer to what it is likely to cost.
Recommendations still get checked online
Most plumbing work comes by word of mouth, but the modern version of a recommendation is a name typed into Google. If what comes back is a Facebook page last updated two years ago, the recommendation quietly loses its force. The website's job there is simply to confirm that the person they were told about is established and worth ringing.
The pages we would build you
Not a template. This is the structure we would actually propose for a plumber business, and why each page earns its place.
Home
Number tappable in the header, emergency callouts stated above the fold, reviews visible without scrolling far.
Emergency callouts
Its own page, so it can rank for urgent searches and answer the only questions that matter: do you come out, how fast, and what does the callout cost.
Boiler repair and installation
High value and heavily searched. Deserves its own page rather than a bullet on a services list.
Bathroom installation
The photo-led page. This is where planned-work customers spend their time.
Leaks and repairs
Captures the long tail of smaller jobs that fill the diary between big ones.
Areas we cover
Tells both Google and the customer whether you come to them, without listing every village in the county.
Reviews
Your Google reviews pulled together in one place, because quoted work lives or dies on them.
Contact
Phone first, short form second. A plumber's enquiry form asking for a written brief loses jobs.
Where your registrations belong
If you work on gas, your Gas Safe registration number is the single strongest trust signal you have, and it belongs in the header or footer on every page rather than buried on an About page. WaterSafe and CIPHE membership work the same way. We put them where a nervous customer looks first, alongside your insurance and your reviews.

Questions, answered
We build websites for local service businesses, and plumbing has a particular shape to it: a tap-to-call number, an emergency callout page that can rank on its own, separate pages for boilers and bathrooms, and your Gas Safe registration visible throughout. That is the structure we would propose. We will not pretend to have a portfolio full of plumbers — have a look at our recent work and judge the quality for yourself.
It has to. Emergency plumbing searches are almost entirely mobile, usually one-handed and often in a hurry. We build mobile first and test on real handsets, with the phone number reachable from any page without scrolling.
Your domain, your content and your data are yours and leave with you whenever you go. The design and build itself stays with us and is included for as long as you are on a plan, which is what lets us charge a monthly fee rather than a large sum up front.
Plans start at £50 a month ex VAT with no setup fee, and run on a 12-month term that covers the cost of the build instead of a large bill up front. After that it rolls month to month. Full details are on our pricing page.
Most sites go live within three to four weeks of starting. We agree the structure and the content first, then build, and you review everything on a private link before anything is published.
